Der Rest wird leicht sein, 2022

Der Rest wird leicht sein oder einer klopft an die Tür meines Herzens, aber ich mach nicht auf. Based on motifs from Tove Ditlevsen. Frederik von Lüttichau plays Carl Theodor Ryberg, Tove’s third husband, a physician, who suffers from psychosis and medicates her with an opioid, Demerol to sedate her.

“What if I told him I was in love with a clear liquid in a syringe and not with the man who held the syringe?” Tove Ditlevsen, Dependency 1971

In „Der Rest wird leicht sein“ Tove Ditlevsen (Luise Hart) enters the stage and is confronted with the true lies of her life through the interplay of fiction and autobiography. In the conflict with family, origin, respective partners and society’s view of women, the (self-)portrait of a woman emerges who in the narrow scope of society overcomes all taboos and empowers herself through writing.
