The North Side Sto­ry, 2024

NORTH SIDE STORY – Part 1 is Tjörvi Led­er­ers diplo­ma pro­duc­tion at Ernst Busch Berlin. It’s a love sto­ry with­out lan­guage with sen­si­tive humor, sub­tle aris­to­crat­ic intrigues, karaoke and fil­ter cof­fee. In alter­nat­ing com­po­si­tions, four play­ers Isabel­la Krieger, Fred­erik von Lüt­tichau, Emma Pet­zet & Jakob Schmidt play the two pro­tag­o­nists to spe­cial­ly com­posed music.

At the rail­ing of an aging Baltic Sea fer­ry, two peo­ple who have been torn from their every­day lives meet: one, forced to flee by an unin­ten­tion­al­ly stolen trea­sure — the crown jew­els of Nor­way — the oth­er, by sud­den­ly inher­it­ed, unpayable debts. As much as they resist, they fall in love. Soon the temp­ta­tion of unex­pect­ed wealth comes between them and puts their young rela­tion­ship to the test. The adven­ture does not remain with­out con­se­quences. Lovers become com­peti­tors, the ship becomes a prison.
